Looking towards the horizon in Galveston coast - January 2024
It's fall 2021, I had just turned 25 and wanted to try something new as a career. I knew I wanted to be a business owner but still couldn’t quite execute on a business I knew I would be passionate about. After a few months of researching, eating, sleeping and dreaming about this endeavor, I came to the conclusion it was going to be online, after all, this is where everything was heading. I wanted to start an e-commerce store and I was dead set on doing it no matter what. This of course was no easy feat. Nonetheless, I did months of market research, got in contact with several suppliers, tested as much inventory as I possibly could. At last, at the end of 2022 I was able to finally launch my first product(high quality lifting gloves). Alright so.. research done, testing done, registering brand LLC done and creating a website.. finally done. It’s time to reap the rewards right!? Yes, but no. See, I left out a very important factor. The marketing. After several weeks of marketing, I saw the importance of it. As I continued growing my brand I realized I enjoyed this process very much.
It’s the beginning of 2024, and I decided to dedicate my time to marketing and project management. Why these two? Simple. Every successful business has two driving components. The marketing and operations department. Obviously the service/product is the main component, but I’m assuming if you started a business, you are FAR past this point. You believe in the service or product you have to offer. As I focused more on the market, I saw how many small businesses didn’t utilize the internet in a way that could give them an edge over other businesses/competition. This is something many smaller businesses lack the knowledge and ability to do. It’s not their fault. They opened their business with the hope to do what they do best. Making the best burger in town, giving the cleanest fade of any barbershop or giving the best landscape job any team could offer. They did not sign up to optimize SEO, run Ad campaigns or create high-converting websites. I realized I could help a lot of local businesses. That’s It. I decided to go all in with this. February 2024, I started my digital marketing agency. CirrusInnovation.
